HOW IoT OPERATES
A combination of hardware and software makes up the internet of things devices.
Thus, when you are in the process of designing an IoT, you need to think about design hardware, how you design software, and how you can design the two to work together.
You really need to think about both together as you're working on any particular project.
In the hardware part of the design, you have the bread board.
The bread board consists of four major components - micro controllers, led, voltage regulator, and capacitors all mounted to the bread board.
There are other components of the hardware which are connected together with these major components. But they provide an incomplete understanding of their relevance to the IoT device. At the center, there is the microcontroller - usually big in size and black in color.
At the center of the hardware is the microcontroller and its major function is to execute code.
On the other side of this is the software component which runs on the microcontroller.
The microcontroller is responsible for the turning off and on of the LEDs.
As you write the software component of your IoT device, you need to think about the hardware part. For example, how you want the LED to be controlled.
When you have a new project, the two most important questions you need to ask yourself before writing the software are;
What hardware components am I going to need?
How am I going to connect them together to create the output that I desire?
